Talkeetna Cabins at Montana Creek

Talkeetna Fly Fishing Expeditions offers private cabins on the amazing South Fork of Montana Creek in Talkeetna. These hand-hewn cabins rest on one of the finest trout streams in our valley.

You can drink a hot cup of coffee out on your front deck and literally watch salmon spawn in the riffling stream from mid-July though mid-September.

The three, one-room cabins each have a queen-size bed with a twin trundle underneath. Coffee, tea, and water is supplied daily. The bathroom is a clean, authentically-Alaskan outhouse. These off-the-grid cabins offer solar lighting and a propane heater.

Most of our guests are amazed by the comfort and privacy. They welcome the private access to the South Fork of Montana Creek as well as nearby fishing.

Meandering Moose Lodging, East Talkeetna

With more than 7 rooms and cabins, the Meandering Moose has something for everyone. They also have some of the more reasonable rates in town. Open year round, they are about two miles from downtown.

Rocky’s Cabins, Downtown Talkeetna

Local artist, Pat Pratt owns historic Rocky’s Cabin. She also rents the apartment over her studio. Her seasonal rates are reasonable. She is within walking distance from the train station. If you’re lucky, she’ll share one of her stories about living at a Talkeetna gold mine when she was a child.

Talkeetna Chalet, Talkeetna

Located at Mile 11 off the Talkeetna Spur Road, this lodge and B&B offers cabins and rooms inside their home. The cabins are private and sized well for couples. They also have a larger cabin ideal for families and small groups. The Lodge is about 5 miles from Downtown Talkeetna, and less than a mile from the Flying Squirrel Bakery.
